World English Bible Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; Jehoram his son reigned in his place.

Ce refus s'explique par ce qui est raconté 2Chroniques 20.35 et suivants, où nous voyons que Josaphat, s'étant associé avec Achazia, le roi d'Israël, pour la construction de cette flotte, le prophète Eliézer lui en annonça la destruction. A la demande d'Achazia de renouveler l'entreprise, on comprend que Josaphat oppose maintenant un refus absolu.
