2 Chroniques 23.3

Et toute la congrégation fit alliance avec le roi dans la maison de Dieu ; et Jehoïada leur dit : Voici, le fils du roi régnera, selon ce que l'Éternel a dit touchant les fils de David.

Toute l'assemblée fit un pacte avec le roi. Dans 2 Rois, il n'est question que d'un pacte conclu entre Jéhojada et les chefs de la garde ; après quoi Jéhojada fait voir à ceux-ci le fils du roi dans le temple.
