Segond 21 Alors Jojakin, le roi de Juda, sortit vers le roi de Babylone avec sa mère, ses serviteurs, ses chefs et ses eunuques et le roi de Babylone le fit prisonnier. C'était la huitième année de son règne.

World English Bible and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

Sortit : capitula. Jéhojachin, désespérant du succès de la résistance, se rendit à discrétion, comptant sur la miséricorde de Nébucadnetsar. Il se rendit avec toute sa cour au camp babylonien. Mais la patience de Nébucadnetsar avait été lassée par les rébellions de son père ; il fut traité en captif.

La huitième année de son règne : du règne de Nébucadnetsar, ainsi vers 597. Dans Jérémie 52.28, la septième, d'après une manière un peu différente de compter, à moins qu'on ne veuille lire dans Jérémie la dix-septième, en appliquant cette date à la dernière prise de Jérusalem. Voir note à ce passage.
