World English Bible Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, "I see a company." Joram said, "Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, 'Is it peace?'"

Sur la tour, qui s'élevait probablement au-dessus du palais et d'où l'on pouvait communiquer directement avec l'intérieur de celui-ci.

Y a-t-il paix ? Soupçonne-t-il ce qui se passe, ou veut-il dire simplement : Apportes-tu de bonnes ou de mauvaises nouvelles ?
