World English Bible You shall strike the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh, at the hand of Jezebel.

Le sang de tous les serviteurs de l'Eternel. C'est ici une allusion à un fait que l'histoire n'a pas raconté : la persécution non seulement contre les prophètes, mais encore contre les simples Israélites fidèles à Jéhova. Cela explique la parole d'Elie 1Rois 19.10, qui sans cela aurait été une exagération trop manifeste.
