L'étranger. Le terme employé ici (nôkeri) ne désigne pas l'homme non israélite établi en Israël et faisant plus ou moins partie du peuple, mais un homme complètement étranger au peuple, et qui par là même n'est pas assujetti à la loi sabbatique ; celui-ci jouit cette année-là de son revenu ordinaire et n'a par conséquent pas droit à la suspension du remboursement.

Ce qui t'appartient chez ton frère. Le créancier ne doit pas presser son débiteur. Ce qu'il a prêté, continue à lui appartenir.
