Deutéronome 32.19

וַיַּ֥רְא יְהוָ֖ה וַיִּנְאָ֑ץ מִכַּ֥עַס בָּנָ֖יו וּבְנֹתָֽיו׃
L'Éternel l'a vu, et il a été irrité, Indigné contre ses fils et ses filles.

La révolte d'Israël a été décrite dans les versets précédents ; elle subit maintenant la punition décidée par la Justice divine. Nous nous trompons nous-mêmes, si nous pensons que Dieu peut être « ridiculisé » par un peuple incrédule.

Le péché ne fait qu'exciter la haine, vis-à-vis de Dieu. Constatons objectivement les dégâts occasionnés par l'iniquité, et reconnaissons la folie de ceux qui se moquent de Dieu !
