17 à 24 Ces versets forment en hébreu les versets 17 à 18.

La copule et par laquelle sont liés tous ces commandements n'est pas accidentellement ajoutée. Autant la forme brisée sous laquelle ils se suivent dans l'Exode est conforme à la teneur d'une proclamation législative officielle, autant ce et qui les lie ici convient au caractère familier et encourageant du discours dans la situation du Deutéronome.
