Le Baal (voir ce mot) qu'on adorait sur le mont Péor (voir ce mot) : divinité moabite (No 25:3,5, De 4:3, Ps 106:28), appelée simplement Péor dans No 25:18 31:16, Jos 22:17 ; d'après Os 9:10, semble avoir donné son nom à un endroit.
