Ville attribuée à Manassé (Jos 17:11, Jug 1:27). C'est près de Jibléam que le roi Achazia fut mortellement blessé (2Ro 9:27), et que le roi Zacharie fut tué si on lit dans 2Ro 15:10, avec les LXX : « à Jibléam », traduction plus probable que : « en présence du peuple ».

Jibléam est appelée Biléam dans 1Ch 6:70, et changée par erreur de copie en Gath-Rimmon dans Jos 21:25. Aujourd'hui Bel'amê, à 20 km. au Nord-E, de Samarie.
