World English Bible Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, "This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

Et MoĂŻse monta vers Dieu. On peut s'Ă©tonner que MoĂŻse monte vers Dieu sans avoir Ă©tĂ© appelé ; et c'est ce qui a fait traduire parfois ce qui suit, dans ce sens contraire au texte : Car l'Eternel l'avait appelĂ©. Mais MoĂŻse savait qu'IsraĂ«l Ă©tait destinĂ© Ă  rendre lĂ  un culte Ă  Dieu (3.12) ; et son premier soin, une fois arrivĂ©, devait ĂȘtre d'aller s'instruire auprĂšs de Dieu lui-mĂȘme de la maniĂšre dont il voulait que ce service lui fĂ»t rendu. La suite montre clairement que la colonne de nuĂ©e, s'Ă©tait dĂšs l'arrivĂ©e posĂ©e sur la montagne pour indiquer la prĂ©sence de Dieu.

Et Dieu du haut... lui cria. Avant mĂȘme que MoĂŻse soit arrivĂ© au sommet, la voix de l'Eternel parvient jusqu'Ă  lui du haut de la montagne. Il vient prendre les ordres de Dieu ; Dieu les lui donne. Il s'agit des prĂ©paratifs de l'alliance qui va ĂȘtre conclue. Dans tout contrat bilatĂ©ral, en effet, chaque partie doit commencer par dĂ©clarer ce qu'elle entend faire et Ă  quoi elle s'engage par cet acte. Dieu parle le premier (versets 4 Ă  6) ; IsraĂ«l rĂ©pond (versets 7 Ă  9).
