« Seigneur, as-tu donc rejeté Juda ? Es-tu dégoûté de Sion ? Pourquoi nous infliges-tu des blessures inguérissables ? Nous avions l’espoir que tout s’arrangerait, mais il n’arrive rien de bon. Nous attendions le moment où nos maux seraient guéris, mais voici la terreur.
Have you utterly rejected Judah? has your soul loathed Zion? why have you struck us, and there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and behold, dismay!
« As-tu vraiment rejeté Juda et détestes-tu Sion à ce point ? Pourquoi nous frappes-tu sans qu'il y ait pour nous de guérison ? Nous espérions la paix et il n'arrive rien d'heureux, un temps de guérison et voici la terreur !
