    • Marc 4

      1 Jésus se mit de nouveau à enseigner au bord du lac. La foule se rassembla autour de lui, si nombreuse qu'il monta dans une barque où il s'assit, sur le lac. Toute la foule était à terre sur le rivage.
      2 Il leur enseignait beaucoup de choses en paraboles. Il leur disait dans son enseignement :
      3 « Ecoutez ! Un semeur sortit pour semer.
      4 Comme il semait, une partie de la semence tomba le long du chemin ; les oiseaux vinrent et la mangèrent.
      5 Une autre partie tomba dans un sol pierreux, où elle n'avait pas beaucoup de terre ; elle leva aussitôt, parce qu'elle ne trouva pas un terrain profond,
      6 mais quand le soleil parut, elle fut brûlée et sécha, faute de racines.
      7 Une autre partie tomba parmi les ronces ; les ronces poussèrent et l'étouffèrent, et elle ne donna pas de fruit.
      8 Une autre partie tomba dans la bonne terre ; elle donna du fruit qui montait et se développait, avec un rapport de 30, 60 ou 100 pour 1. »
      9 Puis il dit : « Que celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre entende. »
      10 Lorsqu'il fut seul avec eux, ceux qui l'entouraient avec les douze l'interrogèrent sur cette parabole.
      11 Il leur dit : « C'est à vous qu'il a été donné de connaître le mystère du royaume de Dieu, mais pour ceux qui sont à l’extérieur tout est présenté en paraboles,
      12 afin qu'en regardant ils regardent et ne voient pas, et qu'en entendant ils entendent et ne comprennent pas, de peur qu'ils ne se convertissent et que leurs péchés ne soient pardonnés. »
      13 Il leur dit encore : « Vous ne comprenez pas cette parabole ? Comment donc comprendrez-vous toutes les autres ?
      14 Le semeur sème la parole.
      15 Certains sont le long du chemin où la parole est semée : dès qu'ils l'ont entendue, Satan vient et enlève la parole qui a été semée en eux.
      16 De même, d’autres reçoivent la semence dans un sol pierreux : quand ils entendent la parole, ils l’acceptent aussitôt avec joie,
      17 mais ils n'ont pas de racines en eux-mêmes, ils sont les hommes d’un moment et, dès que surviennent les difficultés ou la persécution à cause de la parole, ils trébuchent.
      18 D'autres encore reçoivent la semence parmi les ronces : ils entendent la parole,
      19 mais les préoccupations de ce monde, l’attrait trompeur des richesses et les passions en tout genre pénètrent en eux, étouffent la parole et la rendent infructueuse.
      20 D'autres enfin reçoivent la semence dans la bonne terre : ce sont ceux qui entendent la parole, l’accueillent et portent du fruit, avec un rapport de 30, 60 ou 100 pour 1. »

      Luc 19

      1 Jésus était entré dans Jéricho et traversait la ville.
      2 Or, un homme riche appelé Zachée, chef des collecteurs d’impôts,
      3 cherchait à voir qui était Jésus, mais il n'y parvenait pas à cause de la foule, car il était de petite taille.
      4 Il courut en avant et monta sur un sycomore pour voir Jésus, parce qu'il devait passer par là.
      5 Lorsque Jésus fut arrivé à cet endroit, il leva les yeux, [le vit] et lui dit : « Zachée, dépêche-toi de descendre, car il faut que je m’arrête aujourd'hui chez toi. »
      6 Zachée s'empressa de descendre et l'accueillit avec joie.
      7 En voyant cela, tous murmuraient en disant : « Il est allé loger chez un homme pécheur. »
      8 Mais Zachée, se tenant devant le Seigneur, lui dit : « Seigneur, je donne aux pauvres la moitié de mes biens et, si j'ai causé du tort à quelqu'un, je lui rends le quadruple. »
      9 Alors Jésus dit à son propos : « Le salut est entré aujourd'hui dans cette maison, parce que lui aussi est un fils d'Abraham.
      10 En effet, le Fils de l'homme est venu chercher et sauver ce qui était perdu. »
      11 Comme la foule écoutait cela, Jésus ajouta une parabole. En effet, il était près de Jérusalem et l’on croyait que le royaume de Dieu allait apparaître immédiatement.
      12 Il dit donc : « Un homme de haute naissance partait dans un pays lointain pour se faire désigner roi et revenir ensuite.
      13 Il appela dix de ses serviteurs, leur remit 10 pièces d’or et leur dit : ‘Faites-les fructifier jusqu'à ce que je revienne.’
      14 Cependant, ses concitoyens le détestaient et ils envoyèrent une délégation après lui pour dire : ‘Nous ne voulons pas que cet homme règne sur nous.’
      15 Lorsqu'il fut de retour après avoir été désigné roi, il fit venir les serviteurs auxquels il avait donné l'argent afin de savoir quels bénéfices chacun avait faits.
      16 Le premier se présenta et dit : ‘Seigneur, ta pièce d’or en a rapporté 10.’
      17 Il lui dit : ‘C'est bien, bon serviteur. Parce que tu as été fidèle dans une petite chose, reçois le gouvernement de 10 villes.’
      18 Le deuxième vint et dit : ‘Seigneur, ta pièce d’or en a produit 5.’
      19 Il lui dit : ‘Toi aussi, sois établi responsable de 5 villes.’
      20 Un autre vint et dit : ‘Seigneur, voici ta pièce d’or que j'ai gardée dans un linge.
      21 En effet, j'avais peur de toi parce que tu es un homme sévère ; tu prends ce que tu n'as pas déposé et tu moissonnes ce que tu n'as pas semé.’
      22 Il lui dit : ‘Je vais te juger sur tes propres paroles, mauvais serviteur ; tu savais que je suis un homme sévère, que je prends ce que je n'ai pas déposé et que je moissonne ce que je n'ai pas semé.
      23 Pourquoi donc n'as-tu pas mis mon argent dans une banque, afin qu'à mon retour je le retire avec un intérêt ?’
      24 Puis il dit à ceux qui étaient là : ‘Enlevez-lui la pièce d’or et donnez-la à celui qui en a 10.’
      25 Ils lui dirent : ‘Seigneur, il a déjà 10 pièces d’or.’
      26 ‘Je vous le dis, répondit-il, on donnera à toute personne qui a, mais à celui qui n'a pas on enlèvera même ce qu'il a.
      27 Quant à mes ennemis qui n'ont pas voulu que je règne sur eux, amenez-les ici et mettez-les à mort devant moi.’ »

    • Marc 4

      1 Again he began to teach by the seaside. A great multitude was gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat in the sea, and sat down. All the multitude were on the land by the sea.
      2 He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching,
      3 "Listen! Behold, the farmer went out to sow,
      4 and it happened, as he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and devoured it.
      5 Others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil.
      6 When the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
      7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
      8 Others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some brought forth thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much."
      9 He said, "Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."
      10 When he was alone, those who were around him with the twelve asked him about the parables.
      11 He said to them, "To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,
      12 that 'seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.'"
      13 He said to them, "Don't you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables?
      14 The farmer sows the word.
      15 The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them.
      16 These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy.
      17 They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.
      18 Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word,
      19 and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
      20 Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times."

      Luc 19

      1 He entered and was passing through Jericho.
      2 There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.
      3 He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn't because of the crowd, because he was short.
      4 He ran on ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way.
      5 When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house."
      6 He hurried, came down, and received him joyfully.
      7 When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, "He has gone in to lodge with a man who is a sinner."
      8 Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much."
      9 Jesus said to him, "Today, salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
      10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost."
      11 As they heard these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the Kingdom of God would be revealed immediately.
      12 He said therefore, "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
      13 He called ten servants of his, and gave them ten mina coins, and told them, 'Conduct business until I come.'
      14 But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, 'We don't want this man to reign over us.'
      15 "It happened when he had come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business.
      16 The first came before him, saying, 'Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.'
      17 "He said to him, 'Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.'
      18 "The second came, saying, 'Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.'
      19 "So he said to him, 'And you are to be over five cities.'
      20 Another came, saying, 'Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,
      21 for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn't lay down, and reap that which you didn't sow.'
      22 "He said to him, 'Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn't lay down, and reaping that which I didn't sow.
      23 Then why didn't you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?'
      24 He said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina away from him, and give it to him who has the ten minas.'
      25 "They said to him, 'Lord, he has ten minas!'
      26 'For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn't have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.
      27 But bring those enemies of mine who didn't want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.'"
