World English Bible How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day? How long shall my enemy triumph over me?

2 et 3 La plainte a la forme d'un reproche (comparez Marc 4.38). La conscience du psalmiste ne l'accuse pas, et pourtant Dieu cache sa face.

Jusques à quand ?... Ce cri, quatre fois répété, semble en contradiction avec le mot à toujours, qui représente l'abandon comme définitif. La contradiction est dans l'âme même du suppliant. Il est des moments où, comme le dit, Luther à propos de cette parole, l'espérance commence à désespérer, et où pourtant le désespoir espère encore.
