15 à 19 David a déchargé son cœur. Maintenant, il peut de nouveau regarder à Dieu et implorer son secours.

Mais moi... Sans s'inquiéter du mépris, des accusations, des complots, David se confie en l'Eternel. Il n'y a rien de plus difficile, quand nous voyons que tout le monde se moque de notre foy, que d'adresser nos propos à Dieu seul et nous arrêter à ce témoignage que notre conscience nous rend qu'il est notre Dieu. (Calvin.)
