Détourné : ce serait la révolte intérieure ; écartés : ce seraient les transgressions dans la vie ; voilà ce qui aurait pu attirer justement sur Israël les calamités dont il souffre. Bien que l'homme ne puisse jamais se justifier lui-même, il est des cas où sa conscience ne lui reproche rien de spécialement criminel.
