6 et 7 Antique notice relative aux descendants d'Ehud, qui figure 7.10 comme descendant de Jédiaël. Ici la manière dont il se rattachait à Benjamin est supposée connue. Ses fils ne sont indiqués que verset 7: Uzza et Ahihud. Ils habitaient primitivement à Guéba (voir Josué 18.24) : ils en furent chassés par les fils de Béla ; le nom de ceux-ci n'est indiqué qu'après la mention de leur exploit : Naaman, Ahija (Achoach) et Guéra ; ce dernier semble avoir été le plus puissant ou l'instigateur de la déportation des Ehudites à Manachath ; de là la notice : qui les transporta, placée comme épithète après son nom.

Cette notice se rapporte à un temps très antique, avant la royauté.

      28 He said to them, "Follow me; for Yahweh has delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand." They followed him, and took the fords of the Jordan against the Moabites, and didn't allow any man to pass over.
      29 They struck of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, every lusty man, and every man of valor; and there escaped not a man.
      30 So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. The land had rest eighty years.
