Par les opérations du Saint-Esprit qui ont accompagné la prédication de la Parole, (1Corinthiens 12) et par l'expérience chrétienne.

Le témoignage du Christ est la prédication de l'Evangile, dont Christ est l'âme et la vie. M. Godet et d'autres traduisent : "Selon la manière dont le témoignage du Christ a été confirmé parmi vous."

L'apôtre ne voudrait pas dire que le fait intérieur de cette confirmation a été la source de leur enrichissement, mais plutôt que cet enrichissement a été le mode de confirmation de l'Evangile au sein de l'Eglise de Corinthe, tandis qu'ailleurs Dieu a confirmé la prédication apostolique par des miracles.
