Dans ce passage un cinquième nom est ajouté aux quatre autres, celui de Zimri, et le dernier nom est Dara au lieu de Darda. Zérach était lui-même un fils de Juda (Genèse 38.30), le père de la famille des Zérachites (Nombres 26.13,20). D'après 1Chroniques 6.33-44, Héman et Ethan étaient tous deux Lévites et maîtres-chantres de David (1Chroniques 15.17,19).
