Tout le temps que David resta... Aussi longtemps que David n'eut lui-même qu'un asile tout à fait précaire.

Son lieu fort, littéralement : le lieu fort, celui dont il faisait alors sa retraite, probablement en Moab, en tous cas hors de Juda, voir verset 5. Comparez 24.4 et 23.14.
