1 Samuel 26.19

Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that Yahweh has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, they are cursed before Yahweh; for they have driven me out this day that I shouldn't cling to Yahweh's inheritance, saying, 'Go, serve other gods!'

Qu'il reçoive une oblation ! Afin que, par l'effet de ce sacrifice offert par toi, tu sois délivré de l'esprit malfaisant qui te domine en punition des fautes que tu as commises. Naturellement David ne fait qu'insinuer cette pensée.

L'héritage de l'Eternel : la terre donnée à Israël, avec tous les privilèges religieux attachés à ce séjour (Deutéronome 12.29, note).
