World English Bible When he had brought him down, behold, they were spread around over all the ground, eating, drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

Les pécheurs sont au bord de la ruine quand ils s'écrient : « paix et sûreté », persuadés d'être loin des mauvais jours. Rien ne peut davantage nous nuire, au point de vue spirituel, que le plaisir des sens et l'indulgence. Manger, boire et danser ont été des occupations agréables et plaisantes, qui ont cependant rassemblé beaucoup d'âmes au séjour des morts !

Le butin volé à David fut récupéré et rapporté au camp ; rien, ne fut perdu et certaines richesses supplémentaires furent même ajoutées !

      Exode 32
