2 Chroniques 27.5

Il fut en guerre contre le roi des Ammonites et il l'emporta sur eux. Les Ammonites lui donnèrent cette année-là 3 tonnes d'argent, 2'200'000 litres de blé et 2'200'000 litres d'orge. Ils lui en payèrent autant les deuxième et troisième années.
Et il combattit contre le Roi des enfants de Hammon, et fut le plus fort ; et cette année-là les enfants de Hammon lui donnèrent cent talents d'argent, et dix mille Cores de blé, et dix mille d'orge. les enfants de Hammon lui donnèrent ces choses-là, même la seconde et la troisième année.
Il fit la guerre au roi des Ammonites et remporta la victoire sur eux, de sorte que, cette année-là et les deux suivantes, les Ammonites lui payèrent un tribut de trois tonnes et demi d’argent, quatre tonnes et demi de blé et autant d’orge par an.

Cette notice manque dans 2 Rois, mais elle se rattache bien, ainsi que l'énumération des diverses constructions de Jotham dans les deux versets précédents, à 26.8 et suivants.

La seconde et la troisième année. A partir de la quatrième année, ils s'affranchirent de ce tribut, grâce sans doute aux premières attaques des Syro-Ephraïmites contre Juda ; comparez 2Rois 15.37.
