Il y avait d'ailleurs beaucoup d'holocaustes : ceux du versets 32. L'auteur les mentionne encore une fois afin d'expliquer pourquoi les sacrificateurs se trouvaient en trop petit nombre pour dépouiller les victimes : la majeure partie d'entre eux était occupée à brûler les holocaustes.

Avec les graisses des sacrifices d'actions de grâces : la graisse de ces sacrifices-là était ordinairement, brûlée en même temps que l'holocauste. (Lévitique 3.3-5)

Avec les libations : une libation accompagnait habituellement l'holocauste (Nombres 15.1-10). Cette libation occupait aussi un certain nombre de sacrificateurs.

Ainsi fut rétabli... Par ce sacrifice grandiose, le culte régulier fut réintroduit et réorganisé.
