Faiblesses spirituelles, ou souffrances en général. (Comparer : 2Corinthiens 12.5,9,12) S'il faut se glorifier. L'apôtre dit ainsi expressément qu'il y a été contraint par ses adversaires. Et même en le faisant, quelle différence il met entre lui et eux, qui se vantaient de leur force, en accusant Paul de faiblesse. Il accepte le terme, il s'en glorifie.

Tel est le résumé de l'émouvant tableau qui précède : qui pourrait y voir une effusion de l'orgueil ?
