Ces mots : Car toutes choses sont pour vous (Grec : "à cause de vous"), généralisent encore plus la grande pensée de dévouement exprimée par l'apôtre. (versets 12-14)

- Les dernières paroles de ce verset, telles qu'elles sont rendues, signifient que la grâce divine, déjà si multipliée envers les Corinthiens, abonde encore davantage, s'augmente par les actions de grâces de plusieurs, et sert ensuite à la gloire de Dieu : double pensée bien propre à nous faire sentir la sainte importance d'une vraie reconnaissance dans la vie chrétienne !

D'autres traduisent : "Afin que la grâce, étant multipliée par le moyen de plusieurs (qui la reçoivent et y ont part), fasse abonder l'action de grâce 'à la gloire de Dieu.'"
