וַיָּבֹ֞א שָׁפָ֤ן הַסֹּפֵר֙ אֶל־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיָּ֥שֶׁב אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ דָּבָ֑ר וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הִתִּ֤יכוּ עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ אֶת־הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ הַנִּמְצָ֣א בַבַּ֔יִת וַֽיִּתְּנֻ֗הוּ עַל־יַד֙ עֹשֵׂ֣י הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה הַמֻּפְקָדִ֖ים בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃
puis retourna faire son rapport au roi : « Les prêtres, dit-il, ont vidé le coffre du temple, et ont remis l’argent aux entrepreneurs chargés des réparations. »
Et Shaphan, le scribe, vint vers le roi, et rendit compte au roi, et dit : Tes serviteurs ont versé l'argent qui s'est trouvé dans la maison, et l'ont remis entre les mains de ceux qui font l'ouvrage, qui sont préposés sur le travail dans la maison de l'Éternel.

Segond 21 Puis Shaphan, le secrétaire, alla faire son rapport au roi. Il dit : « Tes serviteurs ont ramassé l'argent qui se trouvait dans le temple et l'ont confié aux responsables chargés des travaux dans la maison de l'Eternel. »
