World English Bible saying: "We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was ; because you have taken your great power, and reigned.

L'Eglise rachetée, sauvée, triomphante en son chef, rend grâce à Dieu par la bouche de ses représentants, les vingt-quatre anciens. (Apocalypse 4.4, note.) Ces mêmes anciens avaient offert à Dieu les prières des saints pour obtenir la délivrance et le triomphe de son règne. (Apocalypse 5.8)

C'est à eux maintenant à s'unir au chœur de l'armée céleste pour bénir Celui qui est et qui était. Le texte reçu (minusc.) ajoute à tort : et qui vient, il ne vient plus, il est venu puisqu'il est entré dans son règne.

Dans la vision initiale (Apocalypse 4.11) les fidèles disaient à Dieu. "Tu es digne de recevoir la gloire.." Maintenant ils rendent grâce au Seigneur de ce qu'il a pris en main sa grande puissance et de ce qu'il est entré dans son règne.
