Deutéronome 10.16

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
Circoncisez donc votre coeur, et ne roidissez plus votre cou ;

Que cette préférence vous porte à rendre votre cœur digne de lui en rompant avec tous vos penchants mauvais.

Sur l'expression circoncire le cœur, voir Ezéchiel 44.7 ; Exode 6.12 (lèvres incirconcises).

Ne roidissez plus... : Ne vous livrez pas à l'esprit profane qui se refuse à comprendre les droits de Dieu (Genèse 17.10, note).
