Des gens pervers, littéralement : des hommes fils de Bélial. Ce dernier mot signifie : ce qui ne profite pas, ce qui ne vaut rien. C'est ainsi que le mot de Bélial a fini par désigner chez les Juifs, Satan lui-même (2Corinthiens 6.15).

Tu feras une enquête... L'accumulation des verbes indique le soin minutieux avec lequel l'enquête se fera. Le crime une fois constaté, il devra être puni avec la dernière rigueur, sans égard pour le nombre : la loi fondamentale de la théocratie a été violée.
