15 à 20 Exhortation finale.

La vie, la vraie vie que l'on trouve en Dieu ; le bien, l'état extérieur prospère qui y correspond.

La mort la séparation d'avec Dieu ; le mal, les malheurs qui en résultent.

Que peut-il être dit de plus, pour que tous ces préceptes soient davantage ancrés dans le cœur des Israélites ?

Chaque individu espère vivre en toute aisance, échapper à la mort et aux effets du mal. Il désire connaître la joie, tout en appréhendant la misère. La compassion de l'Éternel est telle, qu'Il a tout prévu en faveur de Sa créature, par Sa Parole ; armés de la connaissance du bien et du mal, les hommes auraient dû connaître un bonheur éternel, mais, par leur faute, ils ont fait le mauvais choix.

Soyons attentifs à tout ce qui nous est enseigné ici : si les enfants d'Israël se décidaient à vraiment aimer Dieu, à Le servir, ils vivraient vraiment dans la joie.

Si par contre, ils se détournaient de l'Éternel, en abandonnant Son service, ce serait certainement leur ruine. Il n'y a jamais eu, depuis la chute de l'homme, plusieurs chemins pour aller au ciel ; ce cheminement est largement expliqué dans les deux Testaments, toutefois avec une clarté spécifique différente.

Moïse a annoncé le chemin du salut, de la même manière que l'a fait l'apôtre Paul ; les propos de Paul décrivaient la même obéissance à observer, que ceux de Moïse. Dans chaque Testament, le bon et le mauvais chemin ont été décrits en détail, et nous ont été clairement révélés.

      1 It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of Yahweh your God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that Yahweh your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth:
      2 and all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of Yahweh your God.
      3 You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the field.
      4 You shall be blessed in the fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the fruit of your animals, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock.
