Manne : Exode 16.15.

Afin de t'humilier : par l'expérience de ton impuissance à te tirer d'affaire par toi-même.

T'éprouver : voir verset 2, note.

Faire du bien. L'épreuve et la souffrance est le chemin nécessaire pour nous faire parvenir au bonheur final.

Ensuite, littéralement : à ta fin. La fin d'Israël était à ce moment l'établissement dans le pays de Canaan.
