(=petite). L'une des villes de la Plaine, c-à-d, du bassin de la mer Morte, que l'on appelait aussi Bêla (Ge 13:10 14:2,8) ; Lot et ses filles s'y réfugièrent (Ge 19:20,23), puis la quittèrent pour la montagne (Ge 19:30).

Elle est citée plusieurs fois comme un point extrême, celui d'un panorama (De 34:3) ou d'une fuite (Esa 15:5, Jer 48:34). Voir Plaine (villes de la).
