Esaïe 27.11

Quand ses branches seront séchées, elles seront cassées ; les femmes viendront et y mettront le feu. Car ce n'est pas un peuple qui ait de l'intelligence ; c'est pourquoi celui qui l'a fait n'en aura pas compassion, et celui qui l'a formé n'usera pas de grâce envers lui.

World English Bible When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.

Ce n'est pas un peuple... Il s'agit du peuple de la capitale (verset 10), ainsi des païens (comparez le mot peuple appliqué aux hommes en général, 40.7).

Son Créateur. Comparez 17.7 ; 29.16. Dieu est aussi le Créateur des païens (Job 12.9-10) ; néanmoins il ne les épargnera pas.
