En effet, vous n'êtes rien, c'est-à-dire : Vous êtes devenus autant que rien pour moi en fait de consolation. Vous avez trompé mon attente. D'abord vous vous êtes tus, atterrés, puis vous n'avez rien trouvé de mieux que de m'accuser. Je ne vous demandais pourtant que des consolations et non pas (verset 22) un sacrifice, des secours matériels ou (verset 23) un acte de dévouement.
