Elles invitèrent... L'impureté faisait partie des cultes idolâtres, très particulièrement chez les peuples orientaux.

Leur dieu : Baal-Péor, une divinité dont la représentation était on ne peut plus indécente. Les sacrifices offerts en son honneur étaient suivis de banquets profanes et de pratiques obscènes.
