Chaque matin. Ces mots indiquent la persévérance et la vigilance que le roi apportera dans la répression du mal, non seulement dans son propre cœur et dans sa maison, mais dans le pays qu'il gouverne. Il ne porte pas l'épée en vain et se souvient qu'il est ministre de Dieu et vengeur, pour punir celui qui fait le mal, (Romains 13.1). C'était le matin que se rendait la justice (2Samuel 15.2, ; Jérémie 21.12).

La ville de l'Eternel. Jérusalem va le devenir, par le fait que l'arche y habitera. Mais l'Eternel ne saurait être le Dieu d'une ville où ne régneraient pas le droit et la justice.
