7 à 9 Dieu détruit le destructeur.

Aussi... Il te sera fait comme tu fais à d'autres ; le châtiment est la conséquence logique du crime (Proverbes 16.4 ; Esaïe 56.4). Remarquer l'énergie du langage, dans ces quatre verbes qui se suivent rapidement comme une série de catastrophes. Il te détruira, comme un édifice qu'on démolit, te saisira, comme un charbon que l'on prend au foyer et que l'on jette (c'est le sens du mot hébreu), te déracinera, comme une mauvaise plante.

De ta tente : peut-être ce mot fait-il allusion aux occupations de Doëg, qui était chef des bergers de Saül.

De la terre des vivants : comme un être qui ne mérite pas de vivre.
