Tout le jour ils tordent mes propos, et toutes leurs pensées tendent à me nuire.
Sans cesse ils déforment mes propos, ils n’ont que de mauvaises pensées envers moi.

Ils tordent mes paroles... ils s'assemblent..., ils observent. Cette attitude était bien celle des courtisans de Saül au début des malheurs de David. Plus tard, ce n'était plus une lutte sourde, mais la guerre ouverte. L'espionnage décrit en ce verset a suivi le Seigneur pendant tout son ministère.
