La confiance en Dieu, de David. (Psaumes 62:1-7)
Aucune confiance ne doit être placée dans les choses du monde. (Psaumes 62:8-12)

Nous sommes sur le chemin à la fois du devoir et du réconfort quand nos âmes s'attendent à Dieu, en particulier quand nous abandonnons sans regrets notre « moi » et toutes nos affaires personnelles au profit de Sa Volonté et de Sa Sagesse, quand nous remettons toutes choses entre Ses mains et attendons patiemment et avec satisfaction les diverses étapes de notre chemin, selon Sa bonté.

Notez bien le fond et la raison de cette dépendance. Par Sa Grâce, Il m'a supporté, Il a été mon Guide et Il m'a délivré. Il est réellement mon Rocher et mon Salut ; tous les êtres ne sont rien sans Lui, je ne peux que porter mes regards vers Lui.

Faire confiance à Dieu est la meilleure sécurité pour notre cœur. Si Dieu est pour nous, nous n'avons pas besoin de craindre ce que peut nous faire l'homme. David ayant placé sa confiance en Dieu, prévoit le renversement de ses ennemis.

Nous avons constaté qu'il était bon de se reposer sur le Seigneur et de Lui remettre le fardeau de nos âmes, de façon à être entièrement sous Sa dépendance afin qu'Il aplanisse notre sentier. Si Dieu se charge de sauver mon âme, je sais que je peux Lui remettre toutes choses, je sais que tout concourra à mon salut. Le fait que David ait établi fermement sa foi en Dieu lui permet de bénéficier d'une joie triomphante. La méditation et la prière sont de solides moyens pour affermir sa foi et son espérance.
