Et il vivra. C'est, pensons-nous, du pauvre qu'il s'agit ; grâce à son roi, il vivra.

Il lui donnera. Est-ce le pauvre relevé qui apporte au roi des présents ? Est-ce le roi qui enrichit le malheureux ? Cette seconde alternative est la plus probable, car comment le pauvre pourrait-il apporter de l'or ? Le roi, non content de faire droit au misérable, le met en état de vivre hors de peine. Il s'attire ainsi les bénédictions de son peuple.
