Rétablis-nous, proprement : fais-nous revenir. Il y a opposition entre ce mot et le verset 2 : Tu as ramené. Le retour de la captivité n'est en réalité pas terminé, tant que l'état du peuple est encore si misérable. C'est ainsi que le chrétien peut dire : Tu m'as sauvé, et pourtant sauve-moi ; tout est accompli sur la croix, mais tout est à faire dans mon cœur.
