Psaumes 85.8

Fais-nous contempler ton amour, Seigneur ! Accorde-nous ton salut !
הַרְאֵ֣נוּ יְהוָ֣ה חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ וְ֝יֶשְׁעֲךָ֗ תִּתֶּן־לָֽנוּ׃
J'écouterai ce que dit Dieu, l'Éternel, car il parlera de paix à son peuple et à ses bien-aimés, afin qu'ils ne retournent plus à la folie.

Tôt ou tard, Dieu annoncera la paix à son peuple. S'il ne la lui procure pas systématiquement, dans son environnement extérieur, il la lui donne intérieurement, en parlant au cœur, par l'Esprit-Saint.

La paix est annoncée uniquement à ceux qui se détournent du péché. Tout péché n'est que folie et particulièrement celui consécutif à la rechute ; il n'y a pas pire folie que celle de la rechute dans le péché. Le salut de Dieu est tout proche, quelles que soient nos difficultés et nos détresses. Sa Parole est digne de toute confiance, Sa gloire demeurera en nous. La véracité de Ses promesses se démontre en ce qu'Il nous a envoyé, dans Sa grande Miséricorde, le Rédempteur.

La justice divine est maintenant satisfaite par le grand rachat de Jésus, à la croix. Christ, le chemin, la vérité et la vie, vivifie les êtres ici-bas quand Il Se charge de notre vieille nature ; la justice divine constate cela avec une entière satisfaction. Car dans Sa bonté, toutes choses, et particulièrement l'Esprit-Saint, sont donnés à ceux qui Le recherchent.

Au travers de Christ, le pécheur pardonné produit du fruit en accomplissant de bonnes œuvres, en cherchant la confiance et la droiture du Sauveur, en plaçant ses pieds dans les marques de Ses pas. La droiture est un guide sûr, dont le bénéfice réside dans le suivi de Ses voies et de Sa rencontre.
