Et je dis. En renonçant à sa charge, le berger sait qu'il livre le troupeau à son sort. La première proposition se rapporte à la portion du troupeau qui périra par l'invasion ennemie ; la seconde, à celle qui disparaîtra du pays, emmenée en captivité, la troisième, à la portion qui restera pour se détruire elle-même.
