1 Chroniques 15.22

Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.
וּכְנַנְיָ֥הוּ שַֽׂר־הַלְוִיִּ֖ם בְּמַשָּׂ֑א יָסֹר֙ בַּמַּשָּׂ֔א כִּ֥י מֵבִ֖ין הֽוּא׃
Kenaniahou, le chef des lévites, était chargé de la direction du chant, car il était expert en la matière.

Pour le transport. Plusieurs traducteurs, à cause de ce qui précède, rendent le mot massa par musique, élévation de la voix. Mais dans 2Chroniques 35.3 ce mot se rapporte à l'action de porter l'arche. D'autre part Kénania n'est pas un des maîtres-chantres, et il est mentionné dans 1Chroniques 26.29 comme chargé de fonctions administratives.
