1 Corinthiens 1.12

Voici donc ce que je dis, c'est que chacun de vous dit : pour moi, je suis de Paul ; et moi je suis d'Apollos ; et moi, de Céphas ; et moi, de Christ.
Voici ce que je veux dire : parmi vous, l’un déclare : « Moi, j’appartiens à Paul » ; l’autre : « Moi à Apollos » ; un autre encore : « Moi à Pierre » ; et un autre : « Et moi au Christ. »

Céphas ou Cépha est le nom hébreu de Pierre.

- Si ceux qui ne se réclamaient que du nom de Christ seul l'avaient fait dans un bon esprit, ils auraient eu parfaitement raison ; mais il n'en était pas ainsi.

Les trois premiers partis se rattachant à trois serviteurs de Dieu (voir l'introduction à cette épître), il est assez facile de se représenter ce qui les divisait.

Quant au quatrième, l'apôtre se taisant sur les opinions qui le distinguaient, les interprètes se sont livrés à ce sujet à mille hypothèses qu'il est inutile de discuter ici.
