Astarté, la divinité féminine des Phéniciens et de toutes les peuplades cananéennes, était adorée surtout par les femmes, et son culte était accompagné de débauches (Jérémie 7.18, note).

Milcom, le dieu des Ammonites, le même que Moloch, verset 7.

Les Cananéens avaient tous au fond une même religion. C'étaient toujours le soleil et la lune qu'ils adoraient sous des noms différents (Nombres 25.3).
