Se balançaient. Même mot qu'au verset 21 ; nous l'avons rencontré déjà Exode 12.13. Proprement : sautaient ; ici se démenaient, faisant des mouvements violents et cadencés, comme le font encore aujourd'hui en Orient les derviches-danseurs. Ils semblent avoir cru réellement à la possibilité du miracle.
