World English Bible It happened, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

Pour descendre. Samarie était plus élevée que Jizréel, qui se trouvait dans la plaine d'Esdraélon. Achab accomplissait ainsi la menace 1Samuel 8.14, avec cette différence que c'était pour lui-même et non pour ses serviteurs qu'il s'appropriait le bien de ses sujets.
