Les candélabres. On est étonné de trouver ici dix chandeliers au lieu de l'unique qui se trouvait dans le Tabernacle. Il est probable que ce changement provient, comme tant d'autres, des dimensions plus considérables du temple. Il parut nécessaire d'éclairer suffisamment et de meubler plus richement un espace aussi vaste que celui du nouveau Lieu saint. Seulement nous ignorons si l'on allumait chaque matin ces dix chandeliers, ou si l'on se bornait à un seul.

Fleurs : coupes en fleurs d'amandier (Exode 25.33).

Lampes : posées à l'extrémité des branches qui leur servaient de support (Exode 25.37).
